The E-type was presented on March 15, 1961, using as a base the D-Type that had already won 3 consecutive times at 24h Le Mans, it was very innovative in its design and presented incredible performances for the time.

In 1961 Enzo Ferrari said that the E-Type was the most beautiful car ever made and is now considered by many to be the most iconic classic of the 60s.
